Japanese Teisco SSL-3 Electric Guitar.
This is one of the soughtafter models as it has the gold foil pickups and cool switching system.
The back of the headstock carries the worrds Mott the Hoople , Overend Watts .. I have no way of knowing if this was owned by him but when he passed away his guitars were sold off at auction - and seems to strange to sign it with his name rather than a well known guitarist if you were looking to fool someone.
Electrically it all works as it should , the pots could do with a spray as it has not been used in a while.
The 3 gold foil pickups produce that unique tone which makes them so soughttafter.
The neck is straight and it plays ok especially compared to other similar guitars from this period.
As you can see from the photos the overall condition for a guitar of this age its good , the body has some wear and taken a few knocks but no cracks - not 100% sure if the guitar has been refinished though.
Comes with its original case ( bit tatty and missing a latch ) and trem arm which I am not too sure is original to the guitar
